Visitor - September 3, 2012

no idea what day we are on (I'll catch up soon)

Well, I'm here to try and get back (keep your fingers crossed it will last).  We are getting ready for a storm and Jim decided to go outside and take a peek at the sky.  While I was outside checking on him, I saw this interesting mushroom (we have tons of them growing in our yard) and said, "self, let's get it started with this".  Unbeknownst to me, there was another visitor there as well - an ant and I'm assuming, he's the one who made the holes in the mushroom.

It's what's for dinner - Day one hundred forty-nine - May 29, 2012

Since it is raining outside and we can't get out to walk, thought I would take a picture of what we're having for dinner - baked cauliflower. It's great with meatloaf, which is what we're having with it. Have a great evening.

Hey:

I haven't posted in a while, so I'm catching up today.  I think I am going to start posting once a week, either Saturday or Sunday because with the summer here, it's getting harder to post everyday.

Funny face - Day one hundred twenty-six - May 5, 2012

As I was going through my photos to get a picture of Jim for his birthday post, came across so many that I had forgotten I have (which is so sad, glad I’m starting to work on my digital scrap booking), especially this one.  Jim’s family used to have family vacations at the Isle of Palms, SC (this is where he is from) and since I am one who does not like the beach or the sun (hey, I’m from the mountains where it is nice and cool, not a water person and have fair skin that I burn so easy), was very lucky I got this picture of Patrick running out of the ocean one afternoon.  Look at that precious face :) he is our comedian.

Under the tree - Day one hundred twenty-five - May 4, 2012

The other day I took a photo of the sun coming through the leaves, so today I thought I would be under the tree and take a photo of the leaves.  Neat perspective.

Jim's birthday - Day one hundred twenty-four - May 3, 2012

Today is my husband’s 55th birthday, so I had to post a picture of him to celebrate.  I spent over an hour trying to find the perfect picture of him (he doesn’t take many photos, just like me) so I had to go back a few years and grab this one from our motorcycle trip to Nova Scotia back in 2007 (this was while we were at Peggy’s Cove).  Nova Scotia is such a beautiful place and I know that I will be back one of these days.  I thought this one spoke Jim – he is in his “captain” pose.
